In today’s article, we are going to learn how to create a “Glass Effect” using Adobe XD. Let’s start.

  1. Start by making a 520 x 520 rectangle with a corner radius of 50.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the properties panel and add a background blur.
  3. To see the effect in action, put an object behind the shape.
  4. Finally, change the “Blur amount”
  5. Try coming up with different shapes and effects by playing with the options available
  6. In this example, I designed a magnifying glass using the glass effect we just learned along with some masking.
  7. I hope you learned something new from this tutorial. There’s more to come, thank you for reading!
